Manufactured Housing
Placement of manufactured housing is governed by the Unified development Ordinance, South
Carolina Manufactured Housing Board and the Standard Building Code. All manufactured homes
must have a minimum 3 ft. by 3 ft. landing at each egress door. Additionally, manufactured
homes must be underpinned by masonry, vinyl, or approved metal.
Before purchasing a manufactured home, contact our zoning office to ensure that your property
allows manufactured housing.
Manufactured housing must be installed by a licensed installer in accordance with the South Carolina
Manufactured Housing Board guidelines.
Before occupancy is allowed and power approved, a manufactured home must be completely set up, blocked,
tied down, underpinned, all electrical, plumbing and sewer connections complete and landings provided.
